HIV Care Physician Registry
Physician Registry Information Mandate and Disclaimer
Introduction/Mandate
BCPWA has identified a need to establish a province wide list of doctors who are currently accepting HIV-positive patients. As such, the organization has undertaken the task of creating, promoting and managing a HIV Care Physician Registry. BCPWA's HIV Care Physician Registry is a resource designed to connect HIV positive individuals with HIV experienced physicians throughout the province.
All HIV Care Physician information will be housed at BCPWA and will not be published or disseminated to the general public. Contact information will only be given when requested by persons living with HIV, or by other health care professionals who are looking to refer patients. The HIV Care Physician Registry will be updated regularly.
Disclaimer
In accordance with our mandate to provide support activities and facilities for members for the purpose of self help and self care, the Persons With AIDS Society of B.C. (BCPWA Society) operates a HIV Care Physician Registry to make available to members an up to date listing of physicians experienced in HIV disease and care who are currently accepting new patients.
The intent of this project is to make available to members information they can access as they choose to become knowledgeable partners with their physicians and medical care team in making decisions to promote their health.
The HIV Care Physicians Registry provides relevant contact information to members without judgment or prejudice. The Registry does not recommend, advocate, or endorse the use of any particular physician and is provided as information only. The physicians listed on this registry have self-identified as HIV care experienced and currently accepting new patients. The Board, staff and volunteers of BCPWA Society do not accept the risk of, or responsibility for, any damages, costs, or consequences of any kind which may arise or result from the use of information disseminated through this .
Persons using the information provided through this project do so by their own decision and hold the Society's Board, staff and volunteers harmless. Accepting information from this project is deemed to be accepting the terms of this disclaimer.
